Hello. My name is Amber Hicks. I have been a postpartum nurse in Memphis hospitals for 15 years. I love helping mothers feel confident and cared for as they care for their babies! I am now offering the care you received in the hospital in the comfort of your home! It is my goal to help bridge the gap between birth and postpartum check up by providing education, support and encouragement when new mama’s need it most. I come into your home and provide the services of a postpartum doula with the expertise of Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
Embrace– $450 This package gives you direct access to a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant for six weeks after your baby’s birth. You will receive phone/text support to answer all your questions about healing and baby’s progress. If I don’t hear from you- I’ll be checking in. I will keep tabs on feeding, sleep, and basic newborn care and postpartum healing. Our chats may include but are not limited to breastfeeding and bottle feeding guidance, help with newborn care, support during your physical recovery, reassurance about what is normal- and what is not, guidance on when to contact your healthcare provider. Perfect for families who want expert guidance without in-home visits.
Grow– $1,200 This package includes everything in the Embrace package plus: weekly home visits! (2hrs) home visits include hands on breastfeeding support, mom and baby assessments, personalized newborn education, feeding and weight gain guidance, help building routines that work for your family. Ideal for families who want ongoing support and in-home care.
Flourish- $1,950 This package includes everything in the Grow package plus: Two overnight care shifts. (10pm-6am) Registered Nurse stays awake with baby through the night. Baby is fed, changed, soothed and monitored while parents rest. Breastfeeding mothers are awakened only for feedings before baby is settled back to sleep. Designed for families who want the highest level of support during the newborn and postpartum stage.
Additional in-home visit (up to 2 hours) $200
Add on a night shift (10pm-6am) for $400/night
